Infocomm International 2015: Why we attend and why that matters for home and business automation

August 17, 2015 10:42 pm

We recently attended InfoComm 2015, the premier trade show for the professional audiovisual industry. It featured the latest, greatest and most exciting new products and trends in audiovisual, lighting, staging, videoconferencing, teleconferencing and boardroom transition, and thought-provoking discussions by live events thought leaders.

It’s where the industry converges to introduce new models, new releases and new ideas. It’s the place where trends like 4k and 8k resolution are set for the coming years. All the big players are there, from Samsung to Microsoft to Cisco. All the live event experts attend. So what was Connectrix, a home and business automation company, doing there, and why should you care?

We go to be informed. To be aware. To be at the cutting edge. And to be certified. InfoComm is the place where manufacturers and products are certified. It’s where we go to educate ourselves about the equipment that we support, and the only avenue for accredited American National Standards Institute (ANSI) certification. That means that not only are we knowledgeable about the best, latest and upcoming products and technologies, but also that we’re trained, certified and competent to work with them and have them work seamlessly with one another.

Whether used in a home or a boardroom, these products can work independently. But when they are automated to integrate with everything else, they can have an enormous impact on the way you live your live and the way you do business. And that’s what you want, right?

Understanding the products, the ‘whats’ and the ‘whys’ ensures that the combination of products and technologies selected and installed will meet your unique needs, and that they will operate together and play nicely together. Not all products and technologies are friends.

And being educated, and knowledgeable, and at the cutting edge of product and technology trends – and certified – helps us to make you what we call ‘Future-Proof’. We know what’s here for now, what’s here to stay awhile, and how to plan for upcoming adaptations and innovations so that you can update as simply and cost-effectively as possible. Seamless now and always ready for the next big thing.
